It has been decided to provide additional benefits to the alternatively abled students in the Tamil Nadu Curriculum Examinations, following the CBSE procedures.
In this regard, the Government of Tamil Nadu Principal Secretary of the Department of School Education Gokarla Usha issued:
Alternatively abled students appearing for the Class X General Examination are already exempt from the Recipe Examination; Plus 1 and Plus 2 students are not exempt.
A case was filed in the court on behalf of the Tamil Nadu branch of the National Association for the Blind. At the conclusion of the hearing, the court ordered the selection of alternatively abled candidates to lay down rules regarding the appointment of a laboratory assistant in the recipe examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to offer the same benefits as in the Tamil Nadu School Curriculum Examinations.
Following the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Department of Examinations has been directed to provide concessions to candidates appearing for the State General Examinations, Diploma Examinations and Class VIII, according to the Disability Rights Act, 2016, according to the nature of the defect. மாற்றுத் திறனாளி மாணவர்

பத்தாம் வகுப்பு பொதுத் தேர்வில் பங்கேற்கும் மாற்றுத் திறனாளி மாணவர்களுக்கு, செய்முறை தேர்வில் ஏற்கனவே விலக்கு அளிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது; பிளஸ் 1, பிளஸ் 2 மாணவர்களுக்கு விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படவில்லை. கூடுதல் சலுகைகள்
இது தொடர்பாக, பார்வை யற்றோருக்கான தேசிய சங்கத்தின் தமிழக கிளை சார்பில், நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு தொடரப்பட்டது. விசாரணை முடிவில், மாற்றுத் திறனாளி தேர்வர்களுக்கு, செய்முறை தேர்வில் ஆய்வக உதவியாளரை நியமனம் செய்வது தொடர்பாக விதிகளை வகுக்க நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டது. மத்திய இடைநிலை கல்வி வாரியமான சி.பி.எஸ்.இ.,யில் பின்பற்றப் படும் சலுகைகளை, தமிழக பள்ளிக்கல்வி பாட திட்ட தேர்வுகளிலும் வழங்க முடிவானது.
மத்திய சமூக நீதி மற்றும் அதிகாரமளித்தல் அமைச்சகத்தின் வழிகாட்டுதலை பின்பற்றி, 2016ம் ஆண்டு மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள் உரிமை சட்டத்தின்படி, அரசு பொது தேர்வுகள், டிப்ளமா தேர்வு மற்றும் 8ம் வகுப்பு தனி தேர்வர்களுக்கு, குறைபாட்டின் தன்மைக்கு ஏற்ப சலுகைகள் வழங்க, தேர்வுத்துறைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.இவ்வாறு அதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
