ORDER:-

In the Government order first read above, orders were issued, fixing the category-wise minimum qualifying marks for passing the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test in accordance with the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) dated 11.02.2011 (Notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad) as given below and permitting the Teachers Recruitment Board to follow the category-wise fixing of minimum qualifying marks for the Teacher Eligibility Tests already conducted as per the Teachers Recruitment Board Notification No. 3/25, dated 11.08.2025.

2. In the letter second read above, the Commissioner of Welfare of Differently Abled has stated that in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the minimum qualifying marks fixed for the differently abled candidates to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test is 40%, as prescribed for the category of Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes and in the State of Odisha, the minimum qualifying mark of 50% fixed for the category of Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes has been fixed for the differently abled candidates. He has therefore requested the Government, to issue orders for fixing the minimum qualifying marks for Person with Disabilities candidates as fixed for the category of Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes. 3. The Government, after careful examination of the proposal of the Commissioner of Welfare of Differently Abled have decided to accept the same and to fix the minimum qualifying marks as 40% for the category of Person with Disabilities to pass in the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET), in accordance with the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) dated 11.02.2011 (Notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad) and order accordingly.

4. Permission is hereby accorded to the Teachers Recruitment Board to follow the minimum qualifying marks fixed as above for the Teacher Eligibility Tests already conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board, as per the Teachers Recruitment Board Notification No.3/25, dated 11.08.2025 and for the Notification No.1/26, dated 13.02.2026.
