3. G.O.Ms.No.6, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP 3.2) Department, Dated 21.06.2025.

4. Minutes of the Expert Committee Meeting, Dated 14.10.2025.

***** As per section 33(i) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Central Act 49 of 2016) "the appropriate Government shall identify posts in the establishments which can be held by respective category of persons with benchmark disabilities in respect of the vacancies reserved in accordance with the provisions of section 34" of the said Act.

2. In the Government Order second read above, orders were issued for reconstitution of the Expert Committee for identification of suitable posts for Differently Abled Persons in respect of Group 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D' categories for implementation of 4% reservation to the differently abled persons in employment.

3. In the Government Order third read above, orders have been issued to provide 4% reservation in promotion to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and its instructions for the implementation of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

4. The Expert Committee meeting has been held on 14.10.2025 for identification of suitable posts for Differently Abled Persons in promotion in Secretariat service as well as in direct recruitment. Among others, the Expert Committee has recommended to identify certain categories of disabilities for the promotional posts of Assistant, Assistant Section Officer, Section Officer, Under Secretary, Personal Clerk, Senior Personal Clerk, Personal Assistant, Private Secretary, Senior Private Secretary, Record Clerk and Record Assistant in Secretariat.

5. The Government after careful examination of the recommendations of the Expert Committee, have decided to identify certain categories of disabilities as suitable for the following promotional posts including Typist and Senior Typist in Secretariat Departments (other than Law and Finance Departments) for providing reservation in promotion to the Differently Abled Persons :-
