Read:-

1. From the Director of School Education, letter Rc.No.012451/ N2/E2/2024, dated 22.04.2024 and 11.09.2024.

2. From the Assistant Manager, State Project Department, NABARD mail dated 01.10.2024. ORDER:-

The Government with the assistance of NABARD is providing infrastructure facilities such as Class rooms, Science Labs, Toilets, Drinking Water facilities, Compound Wall and providing necessary furniture and Science Lab Equipment for the Government High and Higher Secondary Schools. The scheme is being implemented on the sharing pattern of 85:15 by the NABARD and the State Government respectively.

2. The Hon'ble Minister for Finance and Human Resource Management during Budget Speech has made the following announcement on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on 19.02.2024.

"The Government announced the ambitious scheme 'Perasiriyar Anbazhaganar School Development Program', with an outlay of Rs.7,500 crore over a period of 5 years. Projects at a cost of Rs.2,497 crore are being undertaken and construction of new classrooms at a cost of Rs.1,000 crore will be further undertaken in the coming year."

3. In the letter 1st read above, the Director of School Education has stated that he had uploaded the project proposal along with Detailed Project Report in the NABARD portal for providing infrastructure facilities like additional class rooms, Toilets for Boys and Girls, Laboratory for High and Higher Secondary School, Drinking water and Compound wall to 440 Government High / Higher Secondary Schools under NABARD, RIDF-XXX at a total cost of Rs.74527.47 lakh for the year 2024-25 based on the unit cost furnished by the Engineer-in-Chief and Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department, Chennai for the year 2023-2024 with the 5% escalation by considering the necessity and requirement of infrastructure facilities and requested loan approval from the NABARD. The details are as follows:- 4. In the mail 2nd read above, the Assistant Manager, State Project Department, NABARD has informed that, NABARD has sanctioned Rs.633,48, 16 lakh as RIDF loan to Government of Tamil Nadu under RIDF-XXX for the year 2024-25 and the details are as follows:-

The Director of School Education has requested the Government to accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.74527.47 lakh for providing infrastructure facilities like additional Class rooms, Laboratories, Toilets, Drinking Water and Compound wall to 440 Government High and Higher Secondary Schools under RIDF-XXX for the year 2024-25.

6. After careful examination, the Government accord administrative sanction for a total sum of Rs.745,27,47,000 (Rupees Seven Hundred and Forty Five crore Twenty Seven Lakh and Forty Seven Thousand only) (Rs.63348.35 lakh as of NABARD's share and Rs.11179.12 lakh as State's share) for providing infrastructure facilities like additional Class rooms, Laboratories, Toilets, Drinking Water and Compound wall to 440 Government High and Higher Secondary Schools under NABARD, RIDF-XXX in the year 2024-2025 for the following projects:- CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD G.O.(Ms) No.233, dt 28.10.2024 - NABARD - PDF
