The school education department has ordered the district primary education officers to identify 6.5 lakh students who did not appear for the 10th, 11th and 12th class general examinations in Tamil Nadu and take action to participate in the immediate examinations.
The general elections for 10th, 11th and 12th classes in Tamil Nadu which started on 5th May last lasted till 31st. A total of 27 lakh students including 10th, 11th and 12th class wrote the exam.
Of these, 1,95,292 students appeared for the Class XII examination, 2,58,641 students for the Class XII examination and 2,25,534 students for the Class X examination, for a total of 6,49,467 students.
Following this, the school education department has instructed the district primary education officers to take action to identify those students and make them participate in the immediate examinations to be held in July.
