ORDER:

In the reference second read above, the Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department has sent the minutes of the 39th Equivalence Committee meeting held on 03.02.2026 for taking necessary action in respect of the Degree awarded by the Tamil University, Thanjavur. 2. The Government, after careful consideration, approve the following resolution passed in the 39th Equivalence Committee meeting held on 03.02.2026, under the Chairmanship of the Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department and direct that the Degree B.Lit., Tamil / Tamil Literature awarded by Tamil University, Thanjavur as equivalent to B.A., Tamil for the purpose of employment in Public Services from the date of issuance of such Degree:-
