It is recoverable in a maximum of 36 monthly installments.

Employees must be approved probationers with at least 5 years of service remaining before retirement to apply.

ORDER:

According to orders in force, the amount of advance to be granted for marriages will be restricted to a maximun of Rs.6,000/- in the case male Government employees and sons of Government employees and Rs.10,000/- in the case of female Government employees and daughters of Government employees on two occasions during the service period.

2. According to Rule 13 of the rules governing the grant of marriage advance to Government employees, no second or subsequent advance should be sanctioned to an employee if the recovery of the previous advance is pending.

3. Representations have been received from the Service Associations to consider amendment to the rules governing the grant of Marriage Advance to Government employees so as to enable the employees to avail Marriage Advance for the second time even when the recovery of the previous advance is pending. Government after careful consideration have deci ed to accept the above request.

4. Accordingly, Government permit the sanction of second advance to Government employees towards celebration of marriage even when the recovery of the first advance is pending.

5. Necessary amendment to Tamil Nadu Financial Code, Volume-II will be issued separately.
