ORDER:
The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during December 2022 has launched a Scheme "Namma School with the objective of improving the infrastructure facilities in the Government run Schools across the State of Tamil Nadu with Government-Citizen partnership and donated Rs.5 lakh to the Scheme. The initiative aims at raising the standard of Government Schools in Tamil Nadu through collaboration with individuals / corporate / alumni of Government Schools / local communities. The Hon'ble Chief Minister has appealed to philanthropists to contribute for the development of the Government Schools.
2. The Acting President of the Tamil Nadu IAS Officers Association, Chennai in the letter read above has informed the Government that the members of the TNIASOA have expressed willingness to contribute their one-day salary towards the 'Namma School scheme. She has requested the Government to issue instructions to the audit authorities concerned to deduct one day's salary for all the IAS officers borne on the cadre of Tamil Nadu from the pay of March 2023 and deposited with the relevant account.
3. The Government has decided to accept the request of the Tamil Nadu IAS Officers' Association, Chennai and direct that the voluntary contributions of One day's salary from their members shall be deducted from the salary bill of the Officers for the month of March 2023, towards their voluntary contribution to the Scheme "Namma School" to improve infrastructure facilities in the Government run Schools across the State of Tamil Nadu with Government-Citizen Partnership. 4. Accordingly, the Drawing and Disbursing Officers shall be instructed to make use of the provisions in the Web Pay role application in the calculation of one day salary in the pay bill. The amount shall be deducted on the basis of the gross amount of salary for the month of March 2023. The amount of voluntary contribution to be recovered from the salary of IAS Officers of Tamil Nadu Cadre through the audit officers concerned would be credited directly to the Savings Bank account by Electronic Clearing System (ECS) to the designated Saving Bank Account as detailed below on the due date of salary

ORDER:
The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during December 2022 has launched a Scheme "Namma School with the objective of improving the infrastructure facilities in the Government run Schools across the State of Tamil Nadu with Government-Citizen partnership and donated Rs.5 lakh to the Scheme.
