Respected Madam/Sir,

I would like to draw your kind attention to this office letter of 21 December, 2022 regarding Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG/PG 2023 (copy enclosed for ready reference). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting CUET-UG/PG.

It It is informed that the schedule of CUET-UG 2023 is notified / updated by the NTA from time to time and the online submission of application form of the CUET-UG 2023 for admission to UG programmes is likely to start soon.

It is understood that many Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) in the country either use marks of 12- Board or conduct separate entrance examinations for admissions in UG programs. To save students from appearing in multiple entrance examinations conducted on different dates, sometimes coinciding with each other, and also to provide equal opportunity to all students from different Boards, UGC invites and encourages all State Universities, Deemed to be Universities, Private Universities and other Higher Education Institutions (HEIS) to adopt and use CUET score for admission in their UG programmes. 16 February, 2023

As explained in our letter of 21" December 2022, the salient features of CUET-UG/PG 2023 are outlined below:- The number of subjects and pattern of question papers will remain the same. A candidate can take as many as 6 Domain subjects in addition to one/two languages and the General Test.. • Medium of Examination: Any of the following languages - Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.

As you are aware, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has been introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central Universities and other participating. Universities. CUET provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates. across the country, especially those from North-East, rural, and other remote areas, and helps to establish better connections with the Universities. A single Examination enables the Candidates to cover a broad outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central and participating Universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the CUET-UG/PG.

In this context, I am to inform you that the application process for CUET-UG 2023 is likely to be started in the first week of February 2023. The examination will be conducted between the 21 and 31" of May 2023. CUET-PG 2023 is expected to be held in the first/second week of June 2023, and the tentative schedule of the same will likely be announced next week by the NTA. Moreover, the NTA is identifying around 1000 test centers across the country, out of which 450-500 centres will be used on each examination day.

The salient features of CUET- UG/PG 2023 are outlined below:

In view of the above, you are requested to complete your UG/PG admission process by the end of July 2023 so that the academic session begins by 1 August 2023.
