Samagra Shiksha - Proposals for opening of new Residential Schools & stand alone Hostels for 2023-24 reg.
Residential schools at Elementary level for classes I to VIII and stand alone hostel at Secondary level for classes IX to XII are functioning in 12 districts under Samagra Shiksha to provide school access to children in remote un-served habitations especially in remote/ hilly/ forest areas in the context of Tamil Nadu RTE rules 2011 and also to provide school access to specific category of children.
2. In this regard proposal for opening Residential schools & Hostel for the forth coming AWP&B 2023-24 is requested in the format attached along with the documents listed below.
⚫ Children details
⚫ Parent's consent letter to leave their children in the residential schools / Hostels (to be maintained at DPO)
⚫ Land availability certificate obtained from the District Collector.
⚫ District Level Committee (DLC) approval
3. Need for new residential school must be identified. The proposal has to be prepared carefully by verifying the documents. The verified documents should be placed before DLC for approval. Hence all Chief Educational Officers are requested to submit take do need analysis and prepare the proposal
4. Hence Chief Educational Officers are requested to submit the approved proposal to SPO on or before 30.12.2022
