For those who work in organizational fields across the country, PF, on a monthly basis, is preferred. Interest will be paid annually. More than five crore people across the country, P.F., have joined the scheme.
A meeting of the Central Board of Trustees, which will determine the policy decisions of the provident fund, was held in Delhi last March. Of this, it has been decided to pay 8.1 per cent interest for 2021-2022. The interest rate has been reduced to 0.4 per cent from 8.5 per cent in the previous year.
In this context, the Federal Government has announced today that it has decided to provide 8.1 per cent interest for the year 2021-2022. The lowest interest rate was in 1977-1978, when 8 percent interest was paid. For that, the lowest interest rate after 40 years is currently set. The decision will be forwarded to the Central Government and approved by the Union Ministry of Finance and interest will be added to the subscribers' account.
