The Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 official notification was released by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on September 10, 2025. The exam is essential for candidates seeking eligibility to teach in secondary (Class 9–10) and higher secondary (Class 11–12) schools in Bihar.

Important Dates & Results

The examination cycle for the 2025 session has concluded, with results recently declared.

Application Period: September 19, 2025 – October 5, 2025.

Examination Dates: Conducted from October 14 to October 31, 2025 (Paper 1) and until November 16, 2025 (Paper 2).

Result Declaration: The results were officially released on January 5, 2026. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official BSEB STET portal.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens and residents of Bihar.

Age Limit (as of Aug 1, 2025):

Minimum: 21 years.

Maximum: 37 years for General (Male), 40 years for General (Female)/OBC, and 42 years for SC/ST.

Educational Qualification:

Paper 1 (Secondary): Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed..

Paper 2 (Senior Secondary): Master's degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed.. Exam Pattern

The STET is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).



Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.



Marking: +1 for correct answers; no negative marking.

Structure: 100 questions from the specified subject and 50 questions from Teaching Art & Other Skills.

The notification for the Bihar STET 2026 cycle is expected to be released around August or September 2026. Aspirants are advised to monitor the BSEB Secondary website for official updates.
