Information Technology and Digital Services Department – TNEGA - Implementation of e-Office in the Heads of Departments (HODs) and Subordinate Offices at an estimated cost of Rs. 19,03,41,170/- Administrative approval and Financial sanction- Accorded Orders-Issued. Read:

1. G.O.(Ms.) No.12, Information Technology (e.Gov.ll) department, dated 24.09.2019.

3. G.O.(Ms.) No.26, Information Technology & Digital Services(C2) Department, dated 20.10.2023.

4. G.O.(Ms.) No.30, Information Technology & Digital Services(C2) Department, dated 27.11.2023.

5. From the Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, TNEGA, Letter No. K-17/3/2018-CeG/TNEGA dated: 29.12.2023 ORDER:

In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued for implementing e-Office in all the Government departments/ PSUs/ Boards/ Agencies of the Government of TamilNadu.

2. In the Government Order second read above, Administrative Approval and Financial Sanction were accorded for implementing e-Office in the Heads of Departments and Subordinate Offices at an estimated cost of Rs.7.06 crore from the own funds of Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency under Phase-I of the Project.

3. In the Government Order third read above, Administrative approval and financial sanction were accorded for phase-l implementation of e-Office in the Heads of Departments and Subordinate Offices at an estimated cost of Rs. 10,95,91,500/-.

4. In the Government order fourth read above, guidelines have been issued for the procurement of hard-wares for implementing e-office.

5. In the letter fifth read above, the Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, has furnished the details of hard-wares proposed for procurement towards implementation of e-office at Head of Departments and their subordinate offices as follows:- 6. Subsequently, the Finance Department has requested 1183 Desktops, 378 Printers and 275 Scanners for the official use of its sections, HODS and Subordinate offices under its administrative control for implementation of e-office. Accordingly, the Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has proposed to utilizing the savings of Rs.4,79,07,363/- realized from the funds of Rs. 10,95,91,500/- already sanctioned in the Government order 3rdread above for this purpose and furnished the details as

The Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has, therefore, requested the Government to accord financial sanction for a sum of Rs. 19,03,41,170/- from the available funds of Rs. 19,04,08,500/- out of Rs.30 Crore originally allocated in BE 2023-24, for augmenting the HODs' user side infrastructure to facilitate seamless adoption of e-Office and permission to utilise an amount of Rs.4,78,59,141/- available as savings out of the funds earlier sanctioned in the Government order 3rd read above, to augment the user-side infrastructure of the HODS of the Finance Department and the Departments of the Secretariat, for the implementation of e-office 8. The Government, after careful examination of the above proposal, has decided to accept it and accord Administrative Approval and Fnancial sanction to the Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency for a sum of Rs.19,03,41,170/- (Rupees Nineteen Crore Three Lakh Forty One Thousand One Hundred and Seventy only) for augmenting the Head of Departments user-side infrastructure to facilitate seamless adoption of e-office and also permit him to utilize the balance amount of Rs.4,78,59,141/- (Rupees Four Crore Seventy Eight Lakh Fifty Nine Thousand One Hundred and Forty One only) available from the fund earlier sanctioned in the Government order 3rd read above, for the procurement of Hardwares to certain Departments of Secretariat including Finance Department and its HoDs for implementation of e-office.

9. The amount sanctioned in paragraph 8 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

10. Necessary funds have been provided in FMA/FSC 2023-2024 to meet the expenditure sanctioned in paragraph 8 above. The Director of e-Governance is authorized to draw and disburse the amount to Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency.

11. The Director of e-Governance & Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency is directed to furnish the Utilization Certificate along with detailed expenditure statement to Government.
