1. As part of the conduct of the General Elections to the TNLA, 2026, training for various stakeholders is being conducted across the State of Tamil Nadu. The first level training for the Presiding Officers along with Polling Officials, were conducted on 28.03.2026 and 29.03.2026 in all the 234 Assembly Constituencies. In this training programme, 3,32,231 officials were trained on subjects related to duties, roles and responsibilities of Presiding Officer and Polling Officials. The training focused on strengthening their capacity to effectively manage election-related activities, ensure proper implementation of procedures, and to ensure free, fair and transparent General Elections to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, 2026 as per law.

2. The Election Commission of India has enhanced the rates for payment of remuneration to the Presiding Officers, Polling Officers, Counting Personnel, Micro Observers drafted for election duty during the General Elections to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, 2026 as below
