I am directed to invite attention to the reference cited wherein you have requested the Government to grant permission to communicate to all the line departments for inclusion of name on the births both prior to and after the commencement of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000 on the extended timeline (upto 26.09.2026).

After careful examination, the Government permit the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths, Chennai to communicate to all the line departments for inclusion of name on the births both prior to and after the commencement of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000 on the extended timeline (upto 26.09.2026).
