NHIS (New Health Insurance Scheme) for Tamil Nadu Government Employees/Pensioners - Withdrawal of medical claims recommended by District Level Empowered Committee (DLEC) / State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) - Extension of deadline by three months i.e. upto 30/09/2023 - தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ஊழியர்கள்/ஓய்வூதியம் பெறுபவர்களுக்கான NHIS (புதிய மருத்துவக் காப்பீட்டுத் திட்டம்) - மாவட்ட அளவிலான அதிகாரமளிக்கப்பட்ட குழு (DLEC) / மாநில அளவிலான அதிகாரமளிக்கப்பட்ட குழு (SLEC) பரிந்துரைத்த மருத்துவக் கோரிக்கைகளை திரும்பப் பெறுதல் - மூன்று மாதங்களுக்கு 30/09/2023 வரை காலக்கெடு நீட்டிப்பு. New Health Insurance Scheme for Employees / Pensioners - Reimbursement of medical claims recommended by District Level Empowered Committee / State Level Empowered Committee - Extension of time limit for three months ie upto 30.09.2023 for settlement-Regarding

It is to inform that as per the Government instructions in the reference 15th cited, the PPO, Chennai / all the Treasury Officers have been requested to conduct the District Level Empowered Committee meeting before 30.06.2023 for clearing all the pending cases for clearing all the pending cases in respect of all the earlier New Health Insurance Schemes for Employees/Pensioners implemented prior to 01.07.2021 and 01.07.2022 respectively.

Further, all the District Collectors has been requested to give instructions to the Joint Director of Health Services / Treasury Officers to make necessary arrangements to conduct the District Level Empowered Committee meeting before 30.06.2023 for clearing all the pending cases in respect of all the earlier New Health Insurance Schemes for Employees implemented prior to 01.07.2021. In the reference 19th cited, the Government has stated that after the issue of reimbursement guidelines, COVID-19 pandemic has spread over Tamil Nadu and the Employees and Pensioners who were unaware of the guidelines issued, were not in position to avail the benefits under the scheme and the claims made in the COVID-19 period was far less and abnormally touches it's peak in the year 2022-2023. Still substantial number of employees has claims in their hand for settlement.

As the New Health Insurance Scheme is being implemented for the welfare of the employees and Pensioner, the Government has requested the insurance company to extend the time limit for the further period of three months i.e. upto 30.09.2023 to settle the District Level Empowered Committee State Level Empowered Committee recommended cases pertaining to all the earlier New Health Insurance Schemes for Employees / Pensioners implemented prior to 01.07.2021 and 01.07.2022 respectively.

Therefore, it is requested to communicate to all the employees working under your contrui tu submit the medical reimbursement claims pertaining to earlier schemes (treatment taken before 01.07.2021) immediately to the District Level Empowered Committee so as to place in the District Level Empowered Committee before 30.09.2023 as per the instructions of Government for taking further action regarding settling of reimbursement of medical claims to the individuals / petitioners without further delay.
