Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) (www.sdfoundationindia.com), a non-profit organization set up by Mr. S.D. Shibulal (Co-Founder & Ex. CEO, Infosys) and Mrs. Kumari Shibulal (Patron) in 1999. We are glad to inform you that we have launched our prestigious Vidyadhan Scholarship Scheme for the students of Tamil Nadu State in 2016. Currently, we have over 6500 students in our program across Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Odisha, Delhi, Ladhak, Bihar, and Jharkhand States. So far, we have given 33200 scholarships and have many doctors, engineers, nurses etc. among our alumni. Our aim is to scale it to 1,00,000 scholarships covering 10,000 students across India within the next 4 -5 years.
Vidyadhan Scholarship Program supports the college education of meritorious students from
economically challenged families. The students are selected after completion of 10th grade through a
rigorous selection process.
They will be initially eligible for two-year scholarship of Rs.10,000/year for the intermediate studies. If they continue to do well, they will be given scholarships for pursuing any degree course of their interest; these scholarships are directly through the foundation or external sponsors who have registered with the Foundation.
The scholarship amount for graduation varies from Rs 10,000 to Rs 60,000 per year. The selected students are also provided training on soft skills and career counselling.
The scholarship is for economically backward students, from families with an annual income below Rupees 2 lakhs. Tamil Nadu plus 1 Scholarship Program 2023: The students should have passed their 10th or SSLC examination this year from Tamil Nadu with more than 80% (60% for students with disability).
Those selected students will be eligible for two – year scholarship from the foundation. If they continue to do well, they will be given scholarships for pursuing any degree course of their interest.
