தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் பணியாற்றும் பகுதிநேர தூய்மைப் பணியாளர்களுக்கு (Part-time Sweepers) ஊதிய உயர்வு வழங்கி தமிழக அரசு அரசாணை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த அறிவிப்பின் முக்கிய அம்சங்கள் பின்வருமாறு:

ஊதிய உயர்வு விவரம்:

உயர்த்தப்பட்ட தொகை: தூய்மைப் பணியாளர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் தற்போதைய ஊதியத்தில் இருந்து ₹500 முதல் ₹1,500 வரை ஊதிய உயர்வு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

காலமுறை ஊதியம்: ஏற்கனவே தொகுப்பூதியத்தில் இருந்து காலமுறை ஊதியத்திற்கு (Time Scale) மாற்றப்பட்ட பணியாளர்களுக்கு இந்த உயர்வு பொருந்தும்.

பயனாளிகள்: இந்த அறிவிப்பின் மூலம் தமிழகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் பணிபுரியும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான தூய்மைப் பணியாளர்கள் பயன்பெறுவார்கள்.

முக்கிய பின்னணி:

நீண்ட நாள் கோரிக்கை: பள்ளிகளில் நீண்ட காலமாக மிகக் குறைந்த ஊதியத்தில் பணியாற்றி வந்த தங்களுக்கு ஊதியத்தை உயர்த்தி வழங்க வேண்டும் எனப் பணியாளர்கள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்து வந்தனர்.

அரசாணை வெளியீடு: பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை இதற்கான முறையான அரசாணையை (Government Order) வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் நடப்பு நிதியாண்டு முதலே இந்த உயர்வு அமலுக்கு வரும்.

பணிப்பராமரிப்பு: பள்ளிகளின் சுகாதாரத்தைப் பேணுவதில் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றும் இவர்களுக்கு, இந்த ஊதிய உயர்வு ஒரு முக்கிய அங்கீகாரமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது.

முதல்வர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் அவர்களின் 'மக்களுடன் முதல்வர்' மற்றும் கல்வித்துறை மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டங்களின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது 3. In the Government Order 3rd read above, the Government issued revised guidelines for the maintenance of school toilets, cleaning of class rooms and school premises and procurement of cleaning materials for the Panchayat Union Primary/Middle Schools and Government Schools located in rural areas.

4. In the Government Order 4th read above, the Government had issued orders permitting the District Collectors to set apart an amount of Rs.62,70,85,800/- from the State Finance Commission Population Grant due to the Panchayat Unions for the maintenance of School Toilets, cleaning of Class Rooms and School Premises in the Panchayat Union Primary/Middle Schools and Government Schools located in rural areas and also for the procurement of cleaning materials for the schools for the academic year 2025-2026 (June 2025 to April 2026).

5. In the reference 5th read above, the Commissioner of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj has informed that in the W.P.No.24034 of 2021, the Hon'ble Madras High Court in its judgment dated: 03.02.2025 has directed the authorities to reconsider the salary revision for school sanitary workers in view of their work burden and cost of living.

6. The Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj has suggested a hike in wages to the Part-time Sanitary Workers engaged in the Panchayat Union Primary and Middle Schools, Government Primary and Middle Schools and Government High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools as detailed below:-

i. Rs.500/- for Panchayat Union Primary Schools,

ii. Rs.800/- for Panchayat Union Middle Schools,

iii. Rs.500/- for Government Primary Schools,

iv. Rs.800/- for Government Middle Schools,

V. Rs. 1,150/- for Government High Schools and

vi. Rs.1,500/- for Government Higher Secondary Schools located in rural areas

7. The Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj has stated that an additional expenditure of Rs.24.23 crore will be required for the above revision which shall be met out of the State Finance Commission Grant due to the Panchayat Unions.

8. The Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Commissioner of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj hereby accord sanction for the increase in wages of 32,908 numbers of Part-time School Sanitary Workers engaged in Panchayat Union Primary and Middle Schools, Government Primary and Middle Schools and Government High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools at an additional expenditure of Rs. 24,23,16,800/- [Rupees Twenty four crore Twenty three lakh Sixteen thousand Eight hundred only] from the State Finance Commission Grant as detailed below:

9. This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O. No.8364/Fin (infra-IV) Department, dated: 06.02.2026.
