I am to invite your kind attention to the references cited and to inform that it is decided to conduct 2 days Zonal level Training Programme for Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers in the districts like Chennai, Villupuram, Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli on 03.03.2026 and 04.03.2026.The details of zone-wise training and the SLMTs details who will conduct the training session as Resource Person are as follows

1. From the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, Letter No.590/ IIIDEM/ Training for Legislative Election in five States-2026, dated: 06.01.2026.

I am to invite your kind attention to the references cited and to inform that it is decided to conduct 2 days Zonal level Training Programme for Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers in the districts like Chennai, Villupuram, Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli on 03.03.2026 and 04.03.2026.The details of zone-wise training and the SLMTS details who will conduct the training session as Resource Person are as follows: (The above mentioned Resource Persons in Tirunelveli zone should handle the Training session in Tirunelveli District)

2. The DEOS of Chennai, Villupuram, Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli districts are requested to make necessary arrangements for Training venue with webcasting facility, PPT display, projector and other material arrangements for training purpose. The details of training venue by the concerned zones to be intimated to this office on or before 02.03.2026. In addition, the concerned districts which will conduct Training are requested to arrange for food and refreshment facility to the Trainees in the respective venue for two days on 03.03.2026 and 04.03.2026.The attendance sheet of ROS and AROS will also be shared to this office for information.

3. I am, therefore, to request you to kindly inform and relieve the ROS/AROS/SLMTs/NLMTs of your district so as the concerned official will attend the Training session on 03.03.2026 and 04.03.2026 in concern zone without fail.

4. Also to inform that a google meet with those SLMTs who will act as Resource person is scheduled by this office on 02.03.2026 to discuss about the preparedness on Conduct of Training session to ROS and AROS and the link will be shared shortly. The concerned ROS/ AROS/ SLMTs are requested to go through / prepare the manuals and handbooks in advance before attending the Training session.
