Sub: Tamil Nadu - Govt. School Teachers - Assembly Election Duty 2026 - Certain Grievance - Requests- Regarding.

The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are highly reliable, and the voter's receipt (vVPAT sIip) is shown to the person who casts the vote. Therefore, no official involved in the election process can make any changes to the voting data. In addition, BLAs and representatives of the contesting candidates will be present, and CCTV cameras will be installed and continuously Grievance-1.

In such a situation, all teachers and other staffs (PO, P1, P2, P3, P4), who were already deployed in the assembly election duty, were assigned to polling station 80-100 kms away.

We strongly request that such assignment be completely avoided in the upcoming Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly election April/May - 2026.

Allocation of Polling Duty Within 20 Kms Security Concerns:

Polling station allotments for teachers may please be made within 20 kilometres, strictly within the same Block or nearby Block, to avoid long-distance travel. Security concerns arise for teachers, especially women, who return home late at night after polling duty. Therefore, safer and nearby postings are kindly requested
