Ref: Govt. Letter No.26152/Public (L.O.)/2022-1,

dated 15.07.2022.

***** In the reference first cited above, Government has requested my predecessor to constitute a dedicated Law Officers team on department wise / subject wise basis in order to have better coordination with the Law Officers by the department concerned. Based on the request made by the Government subjectwise allotment was made to the Law Officers previously. However, due to some administrative reasons, the said system of the departmentwise allocation of the Law Officers was withdrawn.

Under these circumstances, the issue of allotting the Law Officers of Departmentwise/subjectwise was once again brought to my notice and upon considering the prevailing situation (i.e) with respect to portfolio of the Hon'ble Judges and the work allotment made so far to the Law Officers, I am of the view that the allotment of work to the Law Officers in the Office of the State Government Pleader, High Court, Chennai on departmentwise/subjectwise could be reconsidered.

Accordingly in consultation with the State Government Pleader, High Court, Chennai, the following arrangement is made among the Law Officers attached to the State Government Pleader, High Court, Chennai
