As you are aware, every year Shikshak Parv (Teacher's Day) is celebrated on 5th September to commemorate the birth anniversary the former President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, oh accomplished scholar and academic. The idea behind the celebration of Shikshak Parv is to acknowledge the dignity of the teaching profession and contribution of teachers in nurturing young minds and nation building.
The National Educational Policy (NEP)-zo2o also advocates for restoring high respect for teachers and to inspire the best to enter in the teaching profession.
In this regard, all the Higher Education Institutions are requested to organize following events/activities between Sth to 9th September, 2c22 to commemorate Shikshak Parv:
o Felicitation of Faculty Members
. Lectures by Eminent Scholars / Personalities on various themes related to role of teachers as envisaged in NEP 2o2o
o Webinars / Workshop
o Panel Discussions
. Book Reading
o Screening of Educational Films
o Exhibition on Contribution of Teachers in Indian Knowledge System The above list is indicative, HEIs may organize other similar activities.
In view of above, you are requested to kindly ensure maximum participation of students to celebrate and organize the activities and also upload videos on social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram etc.
